Photo description:

This photo was taken in a soccer field, it looks in very bad conditions, it looks like it has not been watered in months, or even years. There are some black kids learning how to play rugby, kids that judging by the houses behind them,, and their clothes, probably are poor. The kids are practicing their pass, and they are being thought by some rugby professionals, who belong to the Springboks. It looks as it the ball was new, as it they've bought the ball just to come and teach the kids. The kids are wearing some really poor clothes, and the rugby teachers, or players clothes, belong to the team. The kids seem very focused, i think they will learn , as they look pretty motivated.

Directed by: Clint Eastwood
Distributor: Warner Bros Pictures.

Clint Eastwood, has been in this business for over 40 years now, and being for that many years, involved in a work, that requires, that demands, a lot of originality , he never stop surprising all of the people who watches his movies. In Invictus, he takes the story of a man who made a twist in the history of a country, and the world. The story of this president and the captain of the rugby team, the "Springboks", who were personified by Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. The movie is very deep, and entertaining, and is gives us a lot of morals as well.

"This is the day our country went to the dogs". That were the words of the trainer in a white boys school. In this part of the film, the beginning, shows the release of Mandela, and how Africa was divided into two, the white people playing rugby, and the black ones were playing soccer. The movie is placed around 1995, and it is based on true facts, about the history of that country in that year wich was facing big racism issues, and the tension between the two sides of the country, the whites and the blacks, was increasing, reaching the edge of a civil war. The poverty was also a big issue. All these things together, had the country in a very bad social unrest.

Mandela showed particular interest in an "Underdog" team; The Springboks. The Southafrican team was all full of white people, with the expetion of one member, and that one was the only one loved by the black people in the rugby team, this one was "Chester", as the rugby was like the white sport and the soccer was the black sports. The world cup was coming, and no one had faith in the team, not the people, nor the captain, the only one who trusted the team was the president Mandela, but the courage and success of the team left behind the separation, between black and white people, creating a country that was able to support the same thing, all at the same time, fighting all for the same cause. he used rugby to unify a country, South Africa.

The overall movie is very good, the setting was very realistic, and it looked almost as it was 1995. It misses a lot of facts and important events, and it maked the racism seem a lot simpler than it was. It is a nice movie to watch, it practically explains the South African history pretty good, and the rugby matches are very nice, and detailed, they showed us really good the tension, the pressure, just as is was back in that date. Great cast, great setting great movie. 9.3/10

This rugby match is between 2 teams that I can't actually recognize, or maybe I don't even know them. It's a nice day and it seems to be crowd behind them, and the field looks pretty good, it seems to have a nice grass. I can't say exactly where the place is, as I can't recognize it. In the center of the photo there is a man who is kicking the ball, he looks ver focused, as that is the kick that will define if that is a victory, or a loss. The man kicking the ball has a blue and gold sleeve less shirt with a kind of eagle in the center of the shirt. White shorts, blue socks and black shoes is what he is wearing besides the shirt. Behind the guy kicking the ball, there are two team mates, and two of the opposite team, who are wearing a sleeve less shirt as well, but this one is black and white, and the shorts and the socks are black as well. The people behind the focused man, look pretty tired, some are in the ground, looking at this person as an actual hero, but the "hero" looks pretty energetic, I guess it is  because of the adrenaline he is with, as his hole team is putting all his hope on him.

Letter to a Friend:

Dear Vicente Torres:

Hi there, how are you doing? Well, i am writing to you because I told you that we were gonna go to a football match, but I am afraid i cannot go with you. About a week, I was riding a bicycle with some friends, and we made a little race, between about 5 guys, I was winning, but a little rock in the middle of the road, made me fall off, and my fibula just exploded, i am with plaster all over my leg, and i can barely walk with crutches.

I still got the ticket, so find a friend that want to go with you, and i will give him the ticket so you can go with someone. Don't worry I will be walking in about a month now on. I will be waiting your response for you to tell me what is the friend you are going with, hope you are fine, and i will see you as I get better.

See you soon,

In this essay I will be discussing about the global warming. The global warming started when most of the counties started to industrialize, and there is when the CO2 and the Greenhouse Gases started to increase their presence in our own air to a dangerous level, in the air we breathe. The more factories there are, the more CO2 and Greenhouse Gases income, and everyday a new factory is made, and more waste and Greenhouse Gases are being thrown as trash in the air. In addition, the ways in which we are making energy, are very harmful for the environment, we are throwing Nuclear wastes, that are destroying our home, our planet, Wastes are slowly killing us, and we are choosing our own destiny, we are the ones that are choosing the death, we are the ones that are destroying our own planet and home.

The ones that are leading the way to global warming are us, the humans, we use fossil fuels combustion, which is very harmful to the earth, and we will probably continue to do it, to contaminate. According to nmsea.org "Human beings have increased the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere by about a 30%, which is a very significant increase" (Available in September 11 2014),
Maybe if you see it you may think "30% is not that much", but that is a huge amount, a 30% are a lot of tons of CO2, and we are increasing our emissions, because the earth is so much overpopulated, that we are doing way more factories and nuclear plants of the ones we need or we should have in order to not damage the environment and the planet, but the way we are doing it is not right, we are doing so much that we are killing a lot of species, micro species that generate oxygen are dying  due the high temperatures. We should be a third of the humans we are in the earth, and it could sound very cruel, because I am saying that we should kill millions of people, two thirds of the earth population, but is true because we are destroying this planet with this quantity of population, and the population is still growing and the gases emissions are growing exponentially with the population increase, so if the population decreases the massive gas emissions will decrease too. In order to live in the earth we have to do what it's best for it, or just don't do what is bad to it.

One of the main location the global warming is affecting and harming, are the northern and southern parts of the planets, the poles. The north and the south poles are slowly melting , and the majority of the water we drink probably came from there, because more than the 50% of the drinkable water is stored in the massive and giant glaciers, and those are malting due the massive temperature increase. The earth temperature has increased a lot since global warming started, about two or three degrees in the earth's total, and maybe it sound like almost nothing, but that is a lot, that so much that we can't continue to get the earth hotter. We should also consider the animal of the poles that live on the ice, they are dying for a lot of reasons , and all of the reasons are connected directly or not to the global warming. The bears, seals, penguins and a lot more are dying because they don't have where to live as the ice is melting and their territory is being exhausted, also because the increase of the temperature have killed tons of fished, and has even extinguished some fish species, so the carnivore species do not have what to eat and dye from hunger. That and more reasons are why the poles species are dying and extinguishing in some parts of the planet.

However, some people state that global warming isn't that bad, and some even state that is isn't bad at all, they just thing everything has a good side, they just try to find the good side of the cataclysm. In SkepticalScience.com, it is said that the global warming is bringing out warmer winters which will mean less death from the aged group, and other groups say that the northern, but this are thing that just generate things that we don't need, it may sound very cruel, but more food would mean a lot more population, and that means a lot of more CO2 and Greenhouse Gases production due the more factories we would have to do in order ti satisfy the needs of the new people that is breeding. The population should be decreasing, not increasing.

In conclusion, the global warming is getting worst every second we don't do anything about it, and the population should start to decrease as fast as possible, because the population is increasing with the time and as the population increases the factories, nuclear plants and more pollute building that are damaging the environment. So in a few words, we are saturating the earth, because we are to many humans in a place that is not meant for what we are doing to it, or we should make changed and adapt to them, but we would have to still reduce the population.

Human beings have increased the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere by about thirty percent, which is an extremely significant increase, even on inter-glacial timescales. It is believed that human beings are responsible for this because the increase is almost perfectly correlated with increases in fossil fuel combustion, and also due other evidence, such as changes in the ratios of different carbon isotopes in atmospheric CO2 that are consistent with "anthropogenic" (human caused) emissions. The simple fact is, that under "business as usual" conditions, we'll soon reach carbon dioxide concentrations that haven't been seen on Earth in the last 50 million years.

Combustion of Fossil Fuels, for electricity generation, transportation, and heating, and also the manufacture of cement, all result in the total worldwide emission of about 22 billion tons of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere each year. About a third of this comes from electricity generation, and another third from transportation, and a third from all other sources.

This enormous input of CO2 is causing the atmospheric levels of CO2 to rise dramatically. The following graph shows the CO2 levels over the past 160 thousand years (the upper curve, with units indicated on the right hand side of the graph). The current level, and projected increase over the next hundred years if we do not curb emissions, are also shown (the part of the curve which goes way up high, to the right of the current level, is the projected CO2 rise). The projected increase in CO2 is very startling and disturbing. Changes in the Earth's average surface temperature are also shown (the lower curve, with units on the left). Note that it parallels the CO2 level curve very well.

For some, it’s easier to know more about the opposing viewpoints on the matter than to truly understand just what global warming entails. So let’s go over the basics.

In a nutshell, global warming refers to the average rise in temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans. This is caused by an abnormal amount of greenhouse gasses produced in the form of smog and other air pollutants that damage our atmosphere and cause the sun’s heat to intensify.

Sounds like a pretty big deal, right? Except you would be surprised how little people are willing to consider the matter or even acknowledge it. Well, maybe you wouldn’t. The fact of the matter is that the initial change was so gradual we really barely noticed it. And, of course, there are those that believe that there is no such thing as global warming – that it’s some liberal pseudoscience concocted by the democratic agenda.

However, the fact remains that, in recent years, our greenhouse gas production was grown exponentially and, with it, we have seen almost instantaneous and detrimental effects on the environment. To say that these two things are unrelated would be scientific blasphemy of the highest kind.

Poem

1st Shot: (Wide Shot)
Green Landscape,
shores of a river,
blue sky, nice day
red sun shining,
few people swimming,
some barely getting wet.

2nd Shot: (Wide Shot)
River alone,
no one there,
Beautiful landscape,
red sunset,
flowers falling in the water,
river covered in red flowers,
big, grown up plants.

3rd Shot: (Pan Out)
A teenager,
remembering his childhood,
swimming in the river.

Thanks franco.

Indirect Israeli-Palestinian negotiations are over extending a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ending a blockade of the battered territory got underway in Cairo on Wednesday, with both sides taking hard-line positions and much jockeying expected ahead.

Israel wants the Islamic militant Hamas to disarm, or at least ensure it cannot re-arm, before considering the group's demand that the territory's borders be opened. Israel and Egypt imposed a closure after the Hamas takeover of Gaza in 2007, although Egypt allows individuals to cross intermittently.
Egyptian mediators have been shuttling between the delegations. An Egyptian airport official said the Israelis were back in Cairo Wednesday evening after flying out earlier in the day. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief reporters.

Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended Israel's intense bombardment of Gaza, saying that despite the high civilian death toll it was a "justified" and "proportionate" response to Hamas attacks.

"The two sides have reviewed what they consider issues of concern," Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri said at a news conference

Hazem Abu Shanab, a member of Fatah;
"As long as there is occupation, there will be resistance and there will be weapons," he said. "The armament is linked to the occupation."

"The most important thing to us is removing the blockade and starting to reconstruct Gaza," said Bassam Salhi, a Palestinian delegate. "There can be no deal without that." He added.

Rally

We invite everyone that wants free Dunes to meet there. If you haven’t noticed, there is a plan coming out to construct a hotel in the Concon Dunes. That is the reason why we want to protest and fight for the Dunes' right, because there is a law that prohibits the construction in the Dunes. But, some politicians broke that law and we have to protest and have them reason. This is taking place in the Dunes, this Saturday 15 at 12am.

E pettition

Dear headmaster:

I am writing towards you to ask you for new heaters in the school classrooms, because in winter days, i hear all the students complaining about the cold, so i thought, Why no new heaters? It would be a nice inversion for the classroom, so please consider it to apply it in a vacation time, so it don´t makes any problems to the students in class.

Your sincerely,

Concon Mayor
Oscar Sumonte González

15 May 2014

Mayor Oscar Sumonte González,

I am writing to you to propose you to reconsider your thoughts about the new hotel that is going to take place in your city dunes, and I mean the Concon dunes, the same dunes that have been there for thouthend of years, and the same dunes that probably your sons and grandsons played there before

I actually don't know if you have any son, but if you had, I am sure you have taken him more than once to the dunes, because there you can spend a nice quality family time. Not only kids have a nice time there, there are many young men that go there with their girlfriend to have a romantic afternoon. I personally go there with my friends and do "Sun board", and even the university students that are studying architecture sometimes have to go there and "croquean" the dunes, that means draw it from different perspectives.

I hope you think about this, and take your time, because you are not in a hurry, but if you considerate all the facts, I am sure you will conclude that this hotel should not be done in this ancient place, because it would destroy almost all the natural places that are left in Concon.

I look forward to your response.

Yours sincerely,

Agustin Abusleme P.

The robbery

Gigi was taking a nap, in his quiet and dark room, it was a small house in a dangerous 'hood. Someone had picked the lock. Gigi woke up, and out of nowhere, a man appeared in the room. Gigi stood up, but it was too late, the masked robber shot Gigi in the leg , and at the same time, he used some kind of substance that made him fall asleep once again.

The robber searched the house, and he found cheap cocaine in the kitchen. He took away 25kg of the cocaine and ran away. As he quickly closed the door and hard, something felt in gigi's head, he took his revolver, aimed through the window, and shot him down.

In
